Engagement Party & a Car Tour of Montana

 The weekend continues...
On Saturday afternoon, we had a lovely time at our engagement party. There were so many people and so much delicious food! Here we are with Syris's brother & sister-in-law.

On Saturday, we decided to get outdoors, so we took a drive to the outskirts of Helena. Braydon was tired out from the busy weekend, so he fell asleep. We decided to opt for a driving tour instead of a hike. It's hard to get pictures that are as beautiful as the experience is in real life, but here's an attempt, at least.
In the evening, we went out and played a card game. Nice, relaxing fun. Even Braydon had a good time (full disclosure: there was food bribery involved).

A busy weekend & a visitor

We had a lovely & very busy weekend...Papa came to visit!!
First, he got the grand tour of Braydon's (very messy) room:

Next, he had the pleasure of being read "Goodnight Moon" (Braydon has all the words memorized, even the author & artist):
And then the boys settled in for some sit down, hallway football:

On Saturday morning, we went for a walk in downtown Helena. It's actually a really nice area, with an eclectic mixture of architecture. Unfortunately, we didn't get many pictures that reflect that. We did get some pictures of Braydon in action though:

And we finished off our walk at the park:

(Does this look familiar to anyone else??)

A Day at Reeder's Alley

I've learned pretty quickly that Montanans are outdoor people. Luckily, B seems to have adapted pretty quickly. He's already been sledding several times, and, after a few obligatory moments of "am-I-supposed-to-be-enjoying-this-or-be-scared-out-of-my-mind?", he loved it.
So, last Sunday, we decided to bundle up and go on a mild outdoor excursion and visit Reeder's Alley, which I'm told is the oldest part of Helena.
We had a nice walk, and Braydon got into plenty of snow. His gloves were wet, so he ended up wearing Dad's:

And then he started a snowball fight (somebody had to do it):

 Silly guy.
And, since I've been so terrible at sharing pictures, here's Braydon in another one of his favorite Helena hangouts: the park.

And running away from Mom in downtown Helena:
